I want to blog about Kelly Rowland’s new song feat Lil’ Wayne called “Motavation” because I think it is insanely sexy and it’s hard to find tracks that can genuinely hit that button without it going into that sleazy place. You know what I mean.
Ex-Destiny’s Child member Rowland goes hard on the new single from her forthcoming third album and the video (directed by Sarah Chatfield) takes it further as she canoodles fiendishly with her backing dancers. The song has been received well by fans so far and many are saying that this will be the track to take the 30-year-old out of the shadow of ex-band mate Beyonce Knowles – apparently at the moment the track is performing better the Knowles’s “Run The World (Girls)” in the iTunes chart.
Recently Kelly has let loose a string of dance tracks including “When Love Takes Over” and “Commander” with European dance magician David Guetta at the helm, but to me she seems more comfortable reclaiming the R’n’B that she does best.
There is also a dubsteppy remix from Diplo shooting around on the net.
